Did you know that eating too many green apples can cause… ahem… gastrointestinal distress? I did not used to know this. But after eating this apple dip for the first time, and eating way more green apple slices than would be considered normal, I now know.
Just be aware that if one were to make this dip and then eat, let’s say, 4 granny smith apples in one day, one might experience the meaning of “green apple quick step.” A euphemism I previously did not know, but now am intimately familiar with. This dip is SO so SO GOOD. And so addicting. And perhaps not wise to make with lots of apples at the house and no one to share it with.
This is probably not the best anecdote to share when I am trying to convince you to MAKE THIS DIP. Sorry for yelling, but y’all, this dip is unreal. One of those recipes where the sum is far greater than it’s parts. It seems to simple. But is so insanely delicious. I am not exaggerating when I say that every time I have brought it somewhere, everyone asks for the recipe.
It is the absolute best with green apples. Other fruits are a bit too sweet and not quite sturdy enough, but if I’m being honest, I’ve definitely slathered it on an banana and I was quite happy. Graham crackers are so extremely delicious. But green apples are number one. Please make this. Please eat a lot of it. But please exercise caution and don’t eat 4 entire apples in one day.
It’s not a looker, but you’re just going to have to trust me on this. You need to make this.

I made this dip for a party this week, and it is very tasty!
I doubled the recipe thinking that one block of cream cheese wouldn’t feed my crowd, but I was way wrong! A batch as written would probably go with 6-8 apples and be a good appetizer/snack for 12-16 people.
The toffee chips add a nice crunch. They get a little soft the second day but are still good.
Thanks for this delightful party dip! Nice to have something sweet alongside the usual chips and salsa.

Thank you!! I’ll edit the recipe to reflect how many it serves- I have also made that mistake and doubled it and ended up with way too much leftover! Oops. But I’m so glad you loved it!
