My life is rife with contradiction. I love to run and exercise, but frequently beg my husband to bring me a drink because I’m too lazy to get off of the couch. I say want to be social and do exciting things, but get irritated if I have to go anywhere that requires pants past 8:00 p.m. I am a licensed cosmetologist and my bathroom is stocked with all sorts of professional hair and beauty products… and a whole lotta stuff from Target. Here are some of my favorite recent Target/drugstore finds that you seriously need in your life. Thank me later. Preferably with a gift basket full of these things.
L’Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Mascara
This is THE best drugstore mascara out there. Might even be the best mascara, period. I’ve used lots of spendy mascaras in my life, and I just keep coming back to this one.
This stuff is the JAM. The smooth and sleek line of a liquid liner, with the ease of application of a pencil. It’s like a liquid liner and pencil had a perfect little eyeliner baby. I’m so into it.
How often do you wash your hair? If you answered more than 2-3 times per week, you ain’t livin right. Dry shampoo is the sponsor of my life. Sometimes I really cheap out and use baby powder (tutorial on how to do this without looking like a white-haired Granny and smelling like a baby forthcoming). And sometimes I use dry shampoo. I bounce around brands, but I’m loving this cheap and yummy smelling stuff right now. Spray it liberally at your roots, and then flip your head upside down and massage it in with your fingertips. Add a swipe of deodorant, a spritz of perfume, and bingo- you’ve just completed my patent-pending “shower.”
Hi, I am a chapstick addict. And this is my current fav. They have other kinds, I just love coconut everything. Where do you stand on coconut? Please tell me you’re a fan.
J.R. Watkins Shea Butter Lemon Hand Cream
Hi, I am also a hand lotion addict. I live in Colorado and the air here is so insanely dry! I slather this stuff on my hands multiple times a day. It absorbs quickly, is nice and creamy, and smells SO delicious. I want to lick my hands after putting it on. But don’t do that.
Cremo Moisturizing Shave Cream
It’s another coconut product! It also comes in other scents. This stuff is gold, guys. If you are susceptible to razor burn, especially in ahem… sensitive areas… This stuff will revolutionize your shaving life.
My life goal is too look and smell as nice as possible, while spending the least amount of money and time possible to get there. Get thee to Target, stock up on these essentials and join me in this noble quest.
